Right now, the app is being tested by me, and a number of friends that I probably hassle more than I should. It’s almost ready for an open testing phase – whether that’s an alpha or beta doesn’t really matter. It’s about getting it to the point where you, the player will pick it up and play – and hopefully not think “What a steaming pile of garbage!”
But open testing is just that. It’s still testing. I’d like to think that when it’s there – and it really almost is, that things that should work, will indeed work. That quests, characters, classes and skills will all be doing what they should. It’ll be the time to tweak rather than to create.
Open testing will have the small hamlet of the Floren Islands as well as all the classes available to play. I have only developed one of the four skill trees available to each class, but will be enough to make characters feel like they should. And I’ll be able to build the other skill trees out over time – and with input.
